Some weeks before the party started scicco met DC.Clark - they wanted to try to make a prod for the breakPOINT 2007. The weekend they spent went out quite well with the music being finished and the first code getting ready. The weeks after scicco spent most of his time in front of his nearly broken Amiga monitor to finish the rest of the code, record motions and implement the sound.
When arraving at the party we had to kill more 300 crunched (!) bytes. we succeded in killing them but as we reached the 4k we actually recognized the we didn't use a special option in the cruncher! After using this option we won about 100 more bytes! Unfortunately it was quite late and the deadline was near so we decided to not implement more stuff but to insert some greetings at the end. We think it's fine anyway.
It won the Amiga 4k Intro Competition at breakPOINT 2007 - even it was very close, the second place had only 3 points less than ours.
This intro is more different than the others we did. First of all its multi-colored. Then there isn't a kind of effect show - you'll find yourself inside a short day-simulation with sun dawn and sun set and between a plant growing.
Technically the intro contains some 3D stuff like rendering and motioning. This is mixed with background mapping code and precalculation code which calculates the mountains and the sun/sky.
Of course we also have some text in the intro.
Another important thing is the music: we play 8 channel music in stereo to please your ears. Enjoy!
