NANO
| Type: | 4k intro | | Released: | MS 2002, Germany | | Requires: | Amiga 020+ FPU, 4 MB FastRam, AGA/CGX |
The Development:
Nano got in our minds when scicco did some enhanced tries with his soundengine. DC.Clark did some music with the new calculated samples and after the tune was finished, the first code for Nano was born. Even it was a very hard thing to get a 150 kb ProTracker module into less than 1,5 kb it still sounded like the original. Then there was one day scicco did most of the design for the effects and the visuals were born. After a break of some month we thought that Nano must get finished till the Mekka&Symposium 2002 so scicco optimized the last bytes down to 4096 and Nano was finished. We succeeded again and won the second time in a row the Amiga 4k Intro Competition at the Mekka&Symposium 2002.
The Content:
Nano supports, like our other 4k intros, CGX through a screen promotion utility like NewMode and runs in fully multitasking. The content of Nano is extremely different to those in Boom and Ill. We thought of doing more design intro 4k, so this is what Nano brings you: designish effects. The hardest work we had for the antialias line drawer with distorted looking and the soundstuff of course. The generated samples include some resonances, the main calculation part is based upon a lowpass filter. This is why the intro needs a FPU.
