Well, this time we started with the development quite late. Just three or four days before the party started we met at DaNDeE's place and thought about what we could insert into a 4k. So we used two already finished effects and coded two more, additionally the "menu"-like one, the main effect.
When we arrived at the party the effectcode was done but we still had no music and no effect timing of course. So Puryx helped us with a short tune he did in about one or two hours. scicco converted the sound into the 4kb soundreplayer while StingRay was killing more bytes.
About four hours before the deadline was reached we finished all the code we wanted to have in. But the problem was that the crunched intro was about 140 bytes too big. We thought that we will not release this intro at the breaktpoint but there was a marvellous guy who helped us out: Blueberry/Loonies gave us his cruncher and helped us getting the intro down to 4096 bytes.
Thank you, man, without you this intro wouldn't be possible!
Finally it ranked 2nd in the Amiga 4k Intro Competition.
Fact supports, like our other 4k intros, CGX through a screen promotion utility like NewMode and runs in fully multitasking. This time we tried to use another idea where you have one main effect which is always shown between the others. The music this time features some 303 samples and a heavy basedrum again. :)
And another credit goes to Blueberry/Loonies for the cruncher!
